Biography: Daniel A. Rodríguez is Assistant Professor of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Dr. Rodriguez teaches graduate courses in transportation policy, transit planning, and urban spatial structure. His research emphasis includes topics in urban transportation and land use policy, travel demand management programs, and local and regional accessibility. Dr. Rodríguez is currently appointed to three standing committees of the National Academies’ on Transportation and Land Development, Travel Demand Management, and Freight Economics and Regulation and to one task force on Trucking Industry Research. Professor Rodríguez has been the recipient of the Transportation Research Board’s Fred Burggraff Award (2000) and the Eno Foundation Fellowship (1998). His work for ICIS focused on completing a review of the literature on transportation and equity issues. Education: BS, 1994, Fordham University; Master of Science in Transportation, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Ph.D. in Planning, 2000, University of Michigan.
