Kate Slevin

Former Graduate Research Assistant, ICIS

Kate Slevin, former Graduate Research Assistant, joined Transportation Alternatives as their Director of Communications after leaving ICIS. She received a Master of Urban Planning from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service in the Spring of 2002. While in college, Kate spent a year traveling to England, India, The Philippines, New Zealand and Mexico with the International Honors Program, studying global environmental, economic, and social issues. Before coming to ICIS, she worked at the New York City Parks Department, first as an Urban Park Ranger in Brooklyn, and then as the Environmental Review Coordinator for the parkland acquisition office, where her responsibilities included writing and coordinating Environmental Assessments for new city parks. Education: B.A. in Earth and Environmental Science, Wesleyan University, and M.U.P, NYU Wagner School of Public Service, 2002.
