Lammie is Director Emeritus of Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc., the holding company of the Parsons Brinckerhoff group of firms. For six years he had overall responsibility for corporate operations both domestically and internationally. The firm now has over 200 offices, over 9,000 employees worldwide and a 115-year history of planning, design and construction management of large multidisciplinary projects. Previously, he served for eight years as President and Chief Operating Officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas, Inc., the firm's U.S. infrastructure design and project management company. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was the project director for Parsons Brinckerhoff/Tudor, the general engineering consultant for design and construction of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) transit system. During his forty-four year career, he has been recognized for his leadership, innovations, and accomplishments in engineering, construction, military and academic settings. In 1993, Lammie was elected to the National Academy of Engineering. He was formerly on the Executive Committee of the Transportation Research Board.
