ICIS will become a principal U.S. center for new information, ideas, and collaborations about civil infrastructure systems and their role in modern communities.

Mission Statement

ICIS works with community representatives, political leaders, applied social scientists, engineers and members of other disciplines and interest groups to integrate their perspectives and skills into infrastructure planning and decision-making. It will improve the process of developing civil infrastructure through innovations in community programs, information exchange, public policy, applications of advanced technology, and education. ICIS provides a foundation of activities to look at infrastructure from the perspectives of the users and communities.
