Ake Holmgren

Visitng Scholar, KTH

Ake Jonas Holmgren, has been a visiting scholar at NYU-Wagner/ICIS during the Spring 2005 and Fall of 2006. He is a doctoral candidate in the Safety Research Group, Division of Systems Analysis and Economics, Department of Infrastructure, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. He also holds a position as a researcher at the Div. of Defence Analysis, Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) in Stockholm, Sweden. His areas of research are in risk and safety analysis with applications to electric power, and has authored or co-authored over a half
dozen articles in these areas. Education: Licentiate in Engineering, KTH (thesis in Safety Analysis); BSc in Business Administration (diploma work in Risk Management), Stockholms Universitet; MSc in Civil Engineering (diploma work in Safety Analysis), KTH.
